Candidate Information

At Fox Symes we recognise the importance of matching your personality, skills and experience to the right organisation to maximise satisfaction whilst at work – after all, you spend a lot of time there!

We have adopted the approach of listening to your expectations and assessing them against what the current employment market and our own network can offer.  This approach usually follows the below process:

  • Conduct telephone screening call to ascertain where you are at with your job search and whether we can assist with your career goals;
  • Organise a suitable time for you to come in and meet with one of our experienced consultants;
  • Discuss your experience by means of a behavioural interview and devise plan of action to enable your career goals to be met;
  • Provide an accurate assessment of current employment market conditions;
  • Stay in touch regularly to ascertain how your career is tracking.

If you have a good understanding of any of our areas of specialisations search our jobs to get a better idea of where we may be able to help you!

We know our markets very well and will be able to advise you if we can or can’t help!  If we can’t help we will endeavour to point you in the right direction to someone who will be able to!

Preparing for an Interview
To assist in your interview preparation we have created a checklist of information and considerations you should take into account beforehand.  These include:

  • Conduct research about the broader company through your recruitment consultant, the website, the media and friends;
  • Have a written job specification on hand from your recruitment consultancy;
  • Qualify the skills and behavioural competencies needed to succeed in the role;
  • Be clear of the interview process and the background of the people who will be interviewing you ie. their title and position within the organisational structure
  • Be confident explaining yourself and illustrating your current and previous experience, people skills, competencies, technical understanding and personal strengths & weaknesses.
  • Have some of your own questions prepared to demonstrate your interest in the role and the organization.
  • Finally, relax and be yourself!
